Born in northern BC., she made her way to Vancouver Island as a young teen. Met and married the love of her life Danny in the late 1970's and the two then moved to Gold River. She worked at the bank while Danny worked in a logging camp. After Danny passed, Carrie moved to Courtenay and started working for the city of Courtenay and continued working there for many years. Carrie then began working for Assessment BC until her retirement.
She was passionate member of the Comox Valley Roping Club and was a lifelong member.
She returned to Port Alberni in 2016 to enjoy her retirement years. She was lively and spirited, lived life to the fullest and adored horses.
Predeceased Danny; parents Garfield and Monica - Carrie is survived by Jessie; siblings Bruce (Marge), Lynn (Jack), Alan, Garry and Kevin; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws as well as many, many friends.
Carrie lived her life on her own terms and 10:15am was her choice.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Carrie's memory may be made to the Salvation Army. The Salvation Army Kettle Campaign will soon be out - smile, think of Carrie and make a donation to those in need.
