Clive Eugene Brown

Clive was surrounded by his loving wife, Karin; his children, Bill (Carol) Brown, Melinda Brown, Tami (Andy) Plaunt, and Shane (Chrissy) Levang. He is also survived by his 11 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and his sister, Muriel (Chris) McGregor.

Clive was predeceased by his brothers, Hartley, Kip, and Barry, as well as his son, Michael David Brown.

He worked as a roofer for his brother Hartley at Hay’s Roofing, and later owned Somass Roofing, where he eventually retired.

Clive earned his place on the Recreation Park Stadium Honour Roll as a fastpitch coach for Hay’s Roofing, along with several other teams over the years. After retiring from fastpitch, he took up golf, where he excelled to a 9 handicap.

Clive enjoyed life with family and friends. His home and yard were his favourite places, where he spent much of his time with his beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.

A Celebration of Life will be Saturday May 9th from 1:00 to 4:00 at The Italian Hall Events Centre, 4065 6th Ave, Port Alberni.

A well deserved thanks to the exceptional care given by the staff of Island Health Palliative Services and special hugs to Dr. Woodley for her compassion towards Clive throughout the process.
