Connie Ann McConnell

Connie was born on September 29, 1939 in Pine River, Manitoba. She moved to Port Alberni after she married Colin, her husband of 64 years.It was here where they raised their three children. After the children grew up, she went to work as a care-aide at Alberni Lodge until her retirement.

Connie loved her family dearly and kept in close contact with many family members and friends across the prairies. She loved her lunches out with friends, her Ukrainian music, dancing, camping, bowling, softball, curling, and hockey (She was an avid Bulldog fan). She was also an active member of her church.

Connie is predeceased by her parents Ann and William Mulessa, brother Nestor and sister Sylvia.

She is survived by her husband Colin, children Colleen (Cliff), David (NaDean), and Bruce (Sandra); her grandkids Shaun (Carly), Carey (Kristin), Austin (Mia), Chelsea (David), Keenan, Shaylee, Jason, Nichole (Dakota), Nicole (Edmond); 12 great grandchildren; her brothers Orest (Marilyn), Myron (Loretta), Ray (Linda), Ron (Gloria), Terry (Lorna); sisters-in-law Myrna and Donna; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

There will be a Service of Remembrance held at Chapel of Memories Funeral Home at 1:00 on Friday July 8, 2022, followed by a graveside committal at Greenwood Cemetery and reception held afterwards at the funeral home.
