Born in Birmingham, UK on November 8, 1943, David moved in 1952 to Toronto with his mother and four siblings, following his father who had gone ahead to secure employment and housing. David graduated from high school and completed some university courses. David was a resident of Port Alberni, British Columbia.
In the late 70’s, David worked in the hot dip galvanizing business. After retiring, David generously helped out with the P.A (Port Alberni) Youth Centre after being introduced to the group because Katie was a member of the local navy league.
In 1973, David met Lois and her two children, Gordon and Tracy. In 1976, David and Lois had Micheal. In 1978, David and Lois married and were living in Etobicoke, Ontario. Shortly after they got married, David adopted Gordon and Tracy. The family moved from Etobicoke to Rockwood, then Guelph. In 2006, David and Lois, along with Tracy and her daughter, Katie, moved to Port Alberni, BC to be closer to David’s father.
David is predeceased by his daughter, Tracy Anne Luckett (Sweete), granddaughter, Abbigael Sweete, his parents, Gwen and Trevor, and his brother Brian. David will be deeply missed by his wife, Lois; sons, Gordon and Micheal; grandchildren, Katie and Cody; his older sister, Deanna; Francesca, Nicola, William, Beverly and Genevieve; and his very good friend, Alvin Frye.
