On Thursday, March 10, 2011, Elsie passed away peacefully at Fir Park Village.
Born in Kindersley, Sask on July 26, 1922, she moved with her family to the Alberni Valley in 1924. Predeceased by her husband Chris “Pete” and son Ron, Elsie will be dearly missed by her daughters Nancy Doyle and Barbara (Peter) Jewesson, granddaughters Melinda (Reg) Garat and Alison Doyle; great-grandchildren Paige and Mason Garat, and nieces Marilyn (Denis) Weibel and Judy Parker.
Elsie was a very special lady who will be fondly remembered by all those who knew her, especially her closest friends Marlene & Warren Gordon and Lolly McLean.
No service by Elsie’s wishes. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Elsie’s memory to the Fir Park Village/Echo Village Foundation, 4411 Wallace St., Port Alberni, BC., V9Y 7Y5.
