Emily Antonia Francoeur Graitson

Graitson; Emily Antonia – Born in Spiritwood, SK to Phillip and Blanche Francoeur, following a courageous struggle, Emily peacefully passed away surrounded by her family on Friday, January 13, 2012 at 81 years of age.

Predeceased by 10 of her brothers and sisters, she is survived by her children: Yvonne Silvestre (Jack), Angie Bratt (Jim), Linda Martin (Harry), Paul (Doris) and Leeann Graitson (Earl); grandchildren: Nicole, Jocelyn, Ronda, Vincent, Dawn, Chris, Brent, Lorne, Gordon, Holly and Joshua; great grandchildren: Brandon, Simone, Eli, Luke, Emerson, Lena, Benton, Claire, Jackson and Violet as well as sister Elise Shelbourn; brothers: Rene Francoeur (Muriel) and Leon Francoeur and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Emily was a very active person, most of her life she was involved in sports of one form or another (ball, coaching kids, curling, carpet bowling, etc). Later she became an actively involved member of the Sunshine Club. She always made time for her family, whether coaching her kids, encouraging and cheering on her kids then grandkids and great grandkids or driving them to games and practices. She was always part of the activity going on.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 1:00pm on Thursday, January 19, 2012 at Notre Dame Roman Catholic Church, 4731 Burke Rd., with Father Stephen Paine officiating. Cremation has taken place.
