Florence Elizabeth Foster

Predeceased by her daughter Carol Chantal & her husband Robert Chantal; her loving husband Russell Foster; and her brother Harvey. Florence leaves behind a loving sister Jean Mersce of Winnipeg; grandson Len Gagnon; great grandson Mason Smith ( two peas in a pod); best friend Margaret Gagnon; as well as many loved friends, nieces and nephews.

Florence was born October 24, 1921 in Saskatchewan. She arrived in Port Alberni in the late 40s when her husband had gotten a job and she and daughter Carol followed from Saskatchewan. Florence was a talented homemaker. She displayed her talents in the taking on flower arrangements for weddings, sewing dresses for bridal parties, baking, cooking and being involved with all the families in the tight neighbourhood that would become Weaver Park area. Florence was a always busy and was a big part of the Sunshine Club for over 40 years. Baptisted in 1984 into the The Seventh Day Adventist Church, of which she was the oldest member. She always said her secret to longevity was her belief in the Lord and loving everyone unconditionally !!

She was greatly loved and will be sadly missed by many
