Predeceased by his father William Randles, Gary is survived by two daughters: Vicki Fader (husband Shon) and Julie Randles (Tim Harper); mother Rosemary Randles; grandchildren: Michael and Sydney Fenn and Alyssa Randles as well as brothers Bill (wife Jiskje)and Wayne; nephew Gerald (wife Rebecca and son Ethan) and many friends.
Gary spent his working life in the forest industry, mostly with McMillan Bloedel’s Sproat Lake Div and then in 2005 he moved to Port Alice to work in the Paper Mill. This suited him fine as he loved the great outdoors, and enjoyed spending time with nature, whether working, fishing or just going for a hike.
A celebration of Gary’s life will take place at 2:00pm on Sunday, September 12, 2010 at the Best Western Barclay Hotel, 4277 Stamp Ave., Port Alberni. Cremation.
