Geraldine Joan Towne

Predeceased by her husband Murray, she is survived by her children: Dawne Mallon (Don), Gerry (Denise) and Eric (Paddy); grandchildren: David, Valerie, Wayne (Lindsay), Ian, Carlye and Candice; great grandchildren: Shane and Kamryn as well as one sister Roberta Davis of St. Albert, AB and other relatives and friends.

Joan moved from Victoria to Port Alberni in 2009. She loved to travel and loved the adventure of new places. Joan was a devoted mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed by both her family and the many friends that Murray and her entertained with in Sidney and Vancouver.

A celebration of her life is planned for Monday, January 9, 2011 at 2:00pm at Trinity Church, 4766 Angus St., Port Alberni with Rev. George Pell officiating. Cremation has taken place.
