To all of Butch's family:

Butch was our close friend from teenage years to present day.  We will always miss him.

Marion and family, it was a sad day when w received word that Butch passed on. I always remember the donation he gave for our Easter Rally, many yrs ago.

Marion, I had sent a message on February 22nd, somehow it did not get posted. My condolences to you and the rest of Butch's family. He is finally without pain. I shall miss my phone calls to Butch and also the visits when the two of you came to Kamloops. I also have fond memories of our visits to your place when Keith and I lived across the Somass from you, on Dashwood Road.

Sorry we could not make the trip, R.I.P. Butch. Gary and Johanne O'Krainetz.

To Marion, Jack, Chris and family. Deb and I would like to send out our heart felt condolences to you all. Butch played quite a part in our lives. Firstly, I worked with him in Nakusp where he also taught me how to become a good shingle sawyer which helped me through quite a few of my working years. I also worked for him in Port Alberni where Debby also did a stint as a shingle packer working for this gentle giant, as she often said, Butch was well liked by all who knew him and will be sadly missed. Rest in peace my friend, your are now at peace.

Our thoughts are with you at this sad time, Marion, Jack, Chris and all your extended families. Butch has a place in so many hearts.

He was a close friend of Donny Kvaas, my husband, from childhood until 2011 when he passed.  Hammond was small then and everyone knew each other. Two of the "Hammond Boys".

We will miss his phone calls. He never failed to call on my Birthday, one day prior to his.  Always a call around Christmas and at New Years. Sometimes for no occasion, just to check if everyone and everything was okay and check on local news.  Up until a few years ago, due to health issues, he always made a point of stopping by if he was in the area too.
