

Left her family and friends while at home on August 26, 2010 at the age of 66.
Hana was born in Holoubkov, Czechoslovakia, lived for a short time in Brussels, Belgium, and then moved to Montreal. At the age of 8, Hana and her family came to the West Coast of Canada. Her family then came to Port Alberni in her late teens where she decided to stay and begin her first family. Hana worked at the Pulp and Paper Mill for several years before moving to Gold River with her second husband and new family. In 1995 Hana and her family moved back to Port Alberni. Hana was very active with the Notre Dame Parish and made many wonderful friends there. She also loved knitting with her good friends from the Craft Club. Hana’s zeal for life, strong faith and her love and devotion to her family and many friends will be greatly missed, but never forgotten.
Hana was predeceased by her nephew Adamic, mother & father Julia & Jiri Mares, bother-in-law Leonard Kriwokon and sister-in-law Thelma Winters, son Steven, and great granddaughter Kenzee McNabb.
She will be greatly missed by her husband Bill, children Julia (Scott Payne), Kym Dyler (Peter Mugleston), Shaun (Katy) Dyler, grandchildren, Adelle (Lee) McNabb, Michael Bernard (Alexis), Axel Lajeunesse, Tatiana, Alexander, Gabriella Dyler & Luke Kriwokon, sisters Markyta (Ferdi), Helen (Karol) and numerous other relatives and very special friends.
Please join us to celebrate Hana’s life for Prayers at the Chapel of Memories, 4005 6th Ave, Port Alberni on Thursday September 2, 2010 at 7pm and Funeral Service at Notre Dame Church, 4731 Burke St., Port Alberni on Friday September 3, 2010 at 1pm with Father Stephen Paine officiating. Interment to follow in St. Peter’s Cemetery.
