The family and friends of Ida Prus are sad to announce her peaceful passing on October 26th, 2024 in Port Alberni. B.C. after 95 wonderful years. Ida was born in Enderby, B.C. to Sven and Ingebord BERGQUIST, as the oldest of five children.
Ida was predeceased by her husband of 50 years Charles [Chuck] PRUS, her brother Arnold BERGQUIST and sister Lita TILLEY and is survived by her brother Alan BERGQUIST and sister Austy DANYLIW.
Many will remember Ida for her love and compassion for her many nephews, nieces and their children. She brought joy, laughter, and warmth to everyone she met. Her vibrant spirit, bubbling personality, passionate commitment to her family and friends was unwavering. Ida left a lasting impact with everyone. Her memory and her kindness will be cherished forever.
The family wants to extend their heartfelt gratitude to all, but particularly the staff, the volunteers and friends she made during her stay at Tsawaayuus [Rainbow Gardens] in Port Alberni.
