John (Jake or Jack) Donald Reid passed away peacefully at West Coast General Hospital on Sunday, August 15, 2010. John Reid was born September 28, 1919 in St. Rose, MB. On May 29, 1945 John married Annabelle Woodside (deceased 1981). John lived a long, healthy and active life.
Predeceased by his parents James and Beatrice Ruth Reid , stepmother Emma, siblings: Edith, Mary, Alma, infant brother, and infant son. He is survived by his seven children: Prudence (Bill) Sayer, John Reid, Cassandra (Gord) Parker, Kenneth Reid, Dwight Reid, Douglas Reid and Kimberly Reid, 18 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
There will be no public memorial service. Interment will be at Wawanesa Cemetery, Wawanesa, MB. Condolences may be forwarded to the family at www.chapelofmemories.ca. In lieu of flowers, donations made in John’s name to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
