Predeceased by his dear wife Ada (2003), son Patrick and one sister Kathy Picariello “Bunty”. He is survived by his daughter Colleen Sweeney, granddaughter Megan from England and great grandchildren Ella and Sebastien both of England as well as sister Helen Kuchylema “Jackie” and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Jack transferred to Port Alberni with the BC Provincial Police and became the Chief of Police. He later worked as a first aid man for the longshoremen and then with M&B. Jack was most well known as an avid sportsman. If there was a game going on, chances are Jack was their either playing, coaching or umpiring.
