Liisa Koikkalainen was born in Finland on January 6, 1946 and passed away on August 27, 2023. Liisa came to Canada in May 1971 with her family and settled in Port Renfrew for many years. Her last 18 years were spent in Port Alberni.
She was well known for her knitting and her Mummi socks were a hot commodity. She loved her daily walks to QF to check out the deals of the day. She was one of the strongest ladies this family knew.
Liisa was predeceased by her husband of over twenty years, Kalevi Koikkalainen, and her common law partner Ken Konnila.
Liisa will be dearly missed by her son, Jari Koikkalainen (Julie), her daughter, Anu Ward (Dwain). Her grandchildren, Kelsi, Brayden, Arrianna, Haili, Samantha and Cydnee. Her nephew, Kari Pietarinen and family and her niece, Anne Pietarinen and family.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
