July 16, 1957July 6, 2020

The family of Lorne Bjornson regret to announce his passing at the age of 62, in Port Alberni British Columbia on July 6th 2020.

Born in Spirit River Alberta on July 16, 1957, Lorne spent his days on a blueberry farm in Richmond with his siblings, always finding things to do on a busy farm. As young man Lorne moved to Quesnel, attending Correlieu Secondary. Lorne worked at the mill in Quesnel, which allowed him to indulge in his love of “really nice cars!” Lorne eventually owned his own logging truck business with his father and brothers. Lorne also loved trapping in the wilds around Quesnel with his father. Sometimes going for weeks at a time, living on the land. Lorne’s adventurous spirit eventually lead him to a career in long haul trucking. Lorne spent years crisscrossing North America, seeing many incredible sights. Lorne eventually settled in Port Alberni, where he spent many days on his sailboat, speeding around the island on his electric bike or enjoying a great cup of tea.

Lorne is survived by the two lights of his life, his daughters Nanine Bjornson (Brad) and Brittany Bjornson (Calvin). His grandchildren Boden and Bella. Also missed by his brother Bob Bjornson (Sally) As well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Lorne is pre-deceased by his parents Bud and Anne Bjornson as well as his brother Ken Bjornson.
