Margaret Evelyn Nellie Dillabough Dauncey

Our dear mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, friend and lover of life, Margaret Evelyn Nellie Dauncey passed away peacefully amidst family and other attentive care givers at Ty Watson House in Port Alberni, BC on Tuesday, October 5th, 2010.

Nellie is predeceased by her loving husband, John Dauncey Sr., sister Myrtle Madden and brothers: Joe, Teddy and Ray Dillabough.

Although she will be greatly missed, her love, grace, courage, kindness, and positive spirit will continue to be a guiding light in the lives of her many friends and especially family members: daughters: Arleen Croteau (Herbie), Wilma McRae (Ron), Hazel Vermette (Roy Copeland), Muriel McPhail (Kirk), and son John Dauncey; grandchildren: Gary Croteau, Dale Croteau (Shirley), Annelise McRae (Dirk De Geus), Brodi McRae (Dominikus Schwarzenberger), Alease Arcus (Chris), Deanna Dauncey, Jen Garcia (Deone), Brent Vermette (HaeJin), Tanya Vandermolen, and Chad Vandermolen (Erin Eisenberg); great grandchildren: Chandra and Gage Croteau, Aylan McRae, Maximiliian McRae, Jacob and Eve Arcus, Adan and Onya Garcia, Bayden Vermette, and Maya Vandermolen; and extended family Bob Vandermolen, Larry Vermette and Lynn Mickalko.

Nellie will also be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews, sisters and others from the Dillabough and Dauncey families.

Relatives and friends are invited to join Nellie's family in a celebration of her life to take place at the Alberni Golf Club, 6449 Cherry Creek Road, between 2:00 - 4:00 pm on Saturday, October 9, 2010.
