I was very sad to hear the news of Marnie's recent passing. I enjoyed spending time with her at the Pender Harbour Women's Connections meeting and outings. When Marnie heard about our plans to write a book about Pender Harbour's history, she offered a submission of her remembrances of the early days in Garden Bay. They were included in the book “Women of Pender Harbour, Their Voices, Their History that was published in 2010. . Her memory lives on for us in these pages. She was a lovely lady ! I am very sad to hear the news of Marnie's passing, such a wonderful lady. Back in 1979 and 80 I worked at the Marina, and will always remember those times as well as them very fondly. Marnie was so great to work for, so nice...and so pretty. I would like to thank Marnie for being so good to me, a great boss and friend. I will never forget our tea sessions on the cold dreary days...

A Pleasure knowing your mom. She was a very dear, caring person. Fortunate enough for me being sent in as her Care worker. She had mentioned she was going to respite, so when I arrived on Dec. 19 and she wasn`t home, assumed she was in respite.I am so sorry your family has lost such a great mom, grandmother, and to me a friend.
