

Born on Dec 11 1935 in Ocean Falls BC Maureen was a source of unconditional love, strength and wisdom to everyone who knew her. She lived her life with grace, compassion and quiet resilience. Always putting her family and others before herself.
Maureen was more than just a mother-she was a confidante, teacher, friend and a guiding light. Her warmth touched the lives of so many, whether through her acts of kindness, her infectious laughter, or her unwavering support. She had a special way of making people feel seen and loved, she brought joy and comfort to every space she entered.
Predeceased by husband David Tranfield and sister Catherine Forbes (John)
She is survived by sister Patsy McMillan (Tom), sons Douglas Redford and Michael Redford (June). Grandsons Taylor Redford and Hayden Redford (Cady) and great granddaughter Josie Redford who will carry her legacy of pride and love. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her.
No service as per Maureen’s request. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Canadian Cancer Society or BCSPCA in honor of Maureen Adele Tranfield’s generous spirit.
Though she is no longer with us in body, Mom’s love, values and memory will remain with us always. We will miss her deeply, love her forever and hold her close in our hearts.
Special thanks to Dr. Puts, Dana, Dr. Woodley, nursing staff and attendants at WCGH, Hospice volunteers and Moms many Home Care Support Aids that helped her live an independent life at home.
