It has been along time since seeing the family as I left Port Alberni in 1979. Grew up and went to school with Brenda and have seen her since at school reunions and are connected on Facebook . Mike was always so funny, the Phillips family was always so close, it was wonderful . You will be missed Mike by so many. My condolences to all who knew and loved you.

Being an older cousin of Mike, I don't share as many memories as his siblings or the younger cousins. I do remember visiting Auntie Mavis and Uncle Ray and seeing the new baby, Mike in the little crib in the kitchen.
More recently, I enjoyed Mike's postings of the beautiful flowers in their garden, fishing and smoking fish. It was clear that he loved flowers, nature and the ocean. Mike took the time to enjoy life and we can all learn this lesson by his example.
