Truck driving was his life & passion. He enjoyed the outdoors, whether it was hunting, fishing, camping, or watching the deer and his crows in the backyard. He was able to celebrate his 70th wedding anniversary less than 2 weeks before he passed.
Omer is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Doreen, daughter Nivea (Allan) Zimmerman, sons Donald (Cindy) and Derrick (Marnie) as well as numerous grand and great grandchildren.
As per his wishes, no formal service will be held. His final resting place will be in St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery in Port Alberni. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Omer's memory may be made to Ty Watson House of the Alberni Valley Hospice Society.
