Predeceased by Her husband, Andrew Lawrence Amos, Mom (Mary Barney) and Father (Roy Barney 1st) and her son Frederick Rydel Cootes; step son Richard Amos and step daughter Janice Amos.
Survived by Levi Cootes and his daughter Ciara Brown; Verena Wilhelmson and her three children Julian, Morgan, and Camille Wilhelmson; step children Paula Amos and Terry Amos.
Phyllis loved the game of basketball and made lifelong friends in playing at the Alberni Indian Residential School.
A Celebration of Life will be held on July 9th at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Memories, followed by a reception at the Italian Hall at 3:00 PM (wheelchair accessible).
