Raymond Grant Shuman

Predeceased by his first love, Myrtle and son Wayne; parents, Fred and Blanche; sister Marge; brothers Robert, Rod and Ron; Raymond is survived by daughters, Wendy Walcot (Ed) and Karen Mosley (Eric); grandchildren, Charlie, Logan, Mike, David, Courtney and Whitney, seven great grandchildren; sisters, Mona, Myrtle and sister-in-law Mariann in Dawson Creek as well as his dear special friend Frances Thomas.

Our Dad was born in Rolla, BC, the son of a farming family. He loved the lower mainland where he met and married our mother, Myrtle. Eventually they had 3 children and moved to Tahsis, BC where Dad was a Millwright for the Tahsis Co. In 1965 the family settled in Port Alberni and Dad worked at the Plywoods. In 1987 Mom passed on. Dad married Bessie Tregunna and lived in Langley, BC where he volunteered for the tractor club. After Bess died, Dad came back to Port Alberni to be with his children. Dad eventually came to live at Echo Village where the bus rides became his favourite past time.
