Ray was youngest of the 12 children of John & Louvanna Tourangeau. He moved to the Alberni Valley in 1966. Raymond loved to fish, hunt, make maple syrup, and make knitted toques for the babies born at West Coast General Hospital. Family was very important to Raymond and he was known to pull a prank or two on those close to him.
The family would like to thank Dr. Nell, home care aides, staff at WCGH and the at home palliative care nurses for their caring support. Ray is survived by his wife of 61 years Yvette; children Michelle (Kelly), Cheryl (Dan), Dale, John (Sjaan); and siblings Hector and Armand.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.chapelofmemories.ca for the Tourangeau family.
