Roger Lee MacDonald

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our dear husband, father and grandfather Roger MacDonald. Roger courageously battled numerous health issues and on Friday, March 16, 2012 at 59 years of age and on his own terms, he quietly passed away.

Predeceased by his parents Audrey and Harold MacDonald, he is survived by his beloved wife Gail; children: Bert Holden, Charlene Johnson (Ralph), Ken Holden, Kevin Elliott, Vanessa Elliott (Gord), Mike MacDonald, Matt MacDonald and Michelle MacDonald; grandchildren: Karlee (Jeremy), Chad (Crystal), Travis and Kiarra; great grandchildren: Alexis, Jaxxon, Coleton and Cameron; brothers: Gordon “Butch” MacDonald (Renata), Leroy Starr (Elaine) and Wayne MacDonald (Irene) as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Roger worked at APD for many years and was also involved in the 4H club and the local coin club. He was a man with a huge heart and was willing to open his heart and his home for others. He was a salt of the earth kind of guy, who didn't like putting on hiers or having people make a fuss over him.
