Roy Dean Zoost

Predeceased by his wife Lillian; step son Marshall Shepherd and brother Raymond, Roy is survived by his daughter Mabel Striker (Jim); grandchildren: Cindy Shepherd (Michael Bouver) and Rod Shepherd; great grandchildren: Tristyn, Bronson and Michael as well as daughter-in-law Jeanette Shepherd and other relatives and friends.

Roy grew up on the prairies during the depression and served in Scotland during WWII prior to moving to Port Alberni and finding work as a lumber inspector at Somass Mill. He was an extremely generous person who was always willing to lend a hand or help out in whatever way he could. Long time member of the Royal Canadian Legion and the Elks, Roy was also an active member of the Sunshine Club.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00pm on Friday, February 3, 2012 at Greenwood Cemetery. Stories and condolences may be forwarded to the family by visiting www.chapelofmemories.ca.
