It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the tragic and untimely death of our Dad, Som Nath Puri.
Born to Parents Bagamber and Agya Wati in Ludhiana, Punjab, India. Som Nath immigrated to Canada with his wife in 2010. He made many friends over the years while serving customers at the family run Laundromat business.
He will forever be remembered for his friendly, engaging personality. He will be missed for his many qualities but in particular: his bright, warm and loving smile.
Predeceased by son-in-law, Rajiv Goswami. He leaves behind his loving family: wife of over 56 years Darshna, son Naresh (Sunita), daughters Ashi and Jyoti (Amar), 8 grandchildren: Manisha, Parshant, Mehak, Anshi, Chetna, Raghu, Prateesh, Rajin and 5 great grandchildren: Sashaan, Rooh, Saumya, Devaansh, Chirag.
We want to express our sincere gratitude to the bystanders and first responders who took action to comfort Dad and render first aid at the scene of the accident and we would also like to thank the staff at NRGH and VGH for their care and support.

God saw that he was getting tired,
A cure was not to be.
So He put His arms around him
and whispered, “Come with Me.”
With tearful eyes, we watched him suffer,
And saw him fade away.
Although we loved him dearly,
We could not make him stay.
A golden heart stopped beating,
Hard working hands to rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us
He only takes “The Best”.
RIP Sweet Uncle
