Ted passed away on December 9, 2020 in Port Alberni.
Ted lived a fulfilling life as a husband, father, grandfather and friend. Ted’s wife of 44 years, Janice. Sons: Terry (Shannon) Alan (Maria) Dwayne (Zarela). Daughter: Diana. Grandchildren: Jennifer, Kari-Lea, Chelsey, Bayley, Michael, Alan Jr, Aiden, Sabrina, Stephanie. Brother: Jack. Special sister in law: Leila. Numerous extended family members.
Ted spent many years working at MacMillian Bloedel as a supervisor in Groundwood. He was a very active member of the community. He was passionate about coaching, especially youth hockey, soccer and softball and special olympic curling. He created a strong bond that many of his players said that he not only helped them develop sports skills but also skills for life.
Beside being a sport leader, Ted was also a constant volunteer in the community. Fall Fair, Kinsmen, Winter Games 2004, Alberni Golf Club, Kidsport, Alberni Minor Ball, Men’s Fastpitch, Community Policing.

I am very saddened by the passing of Coach Ted. He taught me how to be a better person by example and i will always be grateful and have always had tremendous respect for the person he was. My sympathies to his family. I will hold the memories of playing ball for Coach Ted very close to my heart. RIP Coach. Sincerely, Bruno Visona
