Thomas Stephen Pearce

Born in Vancouver BC on January 22,1945. Tom Passed Away unexpectedly on July 19, 2022 at West Coast General Hospital Port Alberni BC.

Tom held a special place in his heart for Bainbridge Lake where he spent his infant years; he would often state it was 'his' lake as his family did own this lake at one time until his family had to move into town.

After attending his School years in his Hometown Port Alberni Tom took up work as a Longshoreman in 1963 down at Port Alberni's Paper Docks.

Not long after starting his job, Tom met Matilda his "Lady," his "Soulmate" and made her his Wife in 1965.

Then along came his First Daughter Sharon and three years after that his First Son and Namesake Thomas was born. Tom continued to build his family and Tammy, also his namesake, was born not quite a year after. Then a year later Wayne 'Teddy' was born.

Providing for his family kept Tom busy and his Longshoring job had him working in many places on Vancouver Island. Places such as Nanaimo, Chemainus and Toquart Bay. Retirement in 2007 allowed Tom to travel to many many places around Vancouver Island with his Wife driving at the wheel.

Those closest to Tom knew he had a big heart and it was his heart that took him from us in the end.

Tom is Predeceased by his Parents Alfred and Catherine Pearce. Siblings Shirley G Hamelin (Xavier, GJ), Ronald P. Pearce (Wendy), Lorraine Romano (Tony), Alfred 'Ted' Pearce (Adeline), Catherine 'Geordy' Gordon (John 'Jack') & (Wayne).

Tom is Survived by his Wife Matilda Pearce (Nee Robinson).

Children and Grandchildren: Daughter Sharon M. Pearce Schwindt (Robb) Second Grandchild Mykel Thomas Schwidnt. Son Thomas C. Pearce. Daughter Tammy L. Pearce First Grandchild Danielle C. Pearce Third Grandchild Brianna M. Pearce Fourth Grandchild Kody C.D Pearce. Son Wayne Edward 'Teddy' Pearce.

Siblings: Patricia 'Patricia Niemi/Leippi (Eugene) & (Len), Lynda Lajeunesse (Dennis), Marionne 'Judy' Rhodes (Wilf)
