It is with heavy hearts we say our final good bye to devoted Husband, dad, grandpa, brother, friend. Wayne Jaworski passed away peacefully January 24 2024 . Wayne left this earth with so many great memories wrapped up in a life that gave us laughter and love.
Wayne lived and worked his life in Port Alberni where he met and married the love of his life Carol. He was most happy behind the wheel of a logging truck and became known as Wayco after buying and running his company named “WayCo-Tray”. The company name represented his love for his family and his three children. Scott (Wynita), Tracy (Jody) and Clinton (Tara). There were hard years in the industry but Wayne met the turbulence with fierce devotion to his family and a work ethic that made us all proud. Wayne was well respected by all who knew him in the forest industry and had countless stories to tell of days gone by.
Wayne lived a life worth living with many great times spent at Tall Timbers, rides out to feed the horses, vacations in Hawaii, numerous golf excursions and so many laughs in the early years playing for Haggards slow pitch team. Life was good! But not without heartaches - he lost his brother Al and sister Alma way too soon. He missed them both deeply.
Wayne leaves behind his many grandchildren whom he loved to tease endlessly, sister Ev (Danny), beloved sister-in-law Kath (Tylo) and brother-in-law Brent (Sherry).
We thank you dad for all the wise words of advice, the love you gave us and the beautiful lives we've lived because of you, your hard work, and your boundless love for us.
This may come as a surprise but……. Wayne went down in a hail of bullets while in west Texas. He was involved in a gunfight in El Paso at Rosie’s Cantina… Marty Robbin’s was said to have been playing in the background……. a tribute to dad and the love of music he held so closely.
There will be a celebration of life on April 6, 2024, 2:00 pm at the Alberni Golf Course.
