OBITUARY
William Jack Jackson Arthurs
July 9, 1929 – February 21, 2012
Arthurs; William Jackson “Jack” Born to William and Vera Arthurs in Cumberland, BC, Jack passed away peacefully in Echo Village on Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at 82 years of age. Predeceased by 2 brothers: Robert and Donald as well as sister-in-law Nance Arthurs. Jack is survived by 2 sisters: Millie Dalziel and Kate Sutherland (husband Sandy) and numerous nieces, nephews and other family and friends. Jack enjoyed the outdoors and loved spending time at his float cabin in Kildonan, fishing on his boat “Sailorfish II” or hunting with his brother Don and good friend Cecil Roberts. It was his love of the outdoors that drew him to logging. He owned and operated Greenwood Contractors based out of Stewartson Inlet and he continued to remain active in logging even after his retirement in 1990. He was also an active member of the Tractor Club, driving his Ford tractor in the annual parade. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00pm on Monday, February 27, 2012 at Chapel of Memories Funeral Home, 4005-6th Avenue. Cremation has taken place. Jack was one of the nicest men that Paul has ever worked with, he was more like a brother than a friend. Jack was a true gentleman and will be greatly missed by everyone who had the priviledge of knowing him. Paul & Mickey Doucette

We are so sorry to hear of Uncle Jack's passing. He was the sweetest man with the warmest and kindest heart, and it was a privilege that we got to know him. We will hold those memories very near and dear to our heart. I am sure he will be greatly missed by his entire family, as well as the community.
