

He was born in Mott, North Dakota, to O.D. Kingsley and Dorothy Kingsley on October 15, 1921.
Red attended the University of Ohio and served as an MP in the U.S. Army. After his time in the military, Red went on to serve in the Sacramento Police Department in Sacramento, California. He retired from the department in 1968.
He was married to Mary A. Kingsley in Carson City, Nevada.
Red enjoyed life on the Olympic Peninsula, and was, for a time, President of the Port Angeles Salmon Club.
Red is survived by his wife, Mary A. Kingsley; sons Robert (Patricia) Kingsley of Folsom, California, Ronald (Kathy) Kingsley of Redding, California, and Mark Kingsley; daughter Teri Kingsley of Sparks, Nevada; stepson Greg Halvorson of Mount Vernon, Washington; stepdaughter Deborah Halvorson of Sequim; brother Erwin Kingsley of Fernley, Nevada; and sister Romona Hanks of Salem, Oregon.
He is preceded in death by his parents, O.D. and Dorothy Kingsley; brother Leland Kingsley; and sister Lavon Kingsley.
Red will be remembered in a private family service later this year in California.
