We will always remember the night Mikey was conceived (sort of unusual for and Aunt & Uncle).  It happened in Houston, Texas after attending a 'live' performance of a Hypnotist/Comedian at a local club, during which Chrissey was hypnotized and was told (in front of the entire audience) that 'she would go home tonight and have the best sex of her life"!  Little did we ALL know!

Then there was a week-long trip to Disneyland with Mikey, little Brian and Kevin.  After a LONG first day in the park, we returned to our room in the Disneyland Hotel and ever one settled in their beds for the night.  About 15 minutes of silence passed, when a little voice rang out of the dark and stated in a very serious tone - "I can't sleep, because I forgot to brush my teeth"!  The rest of us rummy from the LONG day burst into the giggles so hard that all of our stomachs hurt.

Then when Mikey turned 18 he came to visit us in Nicaragua.  His biggest thrill was going to the local store and buying beer legally here at that age!  He spent more time with our caretaker, Indelacio and his family than with us it seems.  During one visit Indelacio's papa - Chico - kicked off his shoes and began to dance to the music they were playing.  Without hesitation Mikey followed and 'kicked off his shoes' and soon the entire extended family was up dancing, too!

And now our hearts lay shattered with yours, but the memories and Love will live on forever!

We were blessed to work with Mikey at the Landing Restaurant. He was so young, it had to be one of his first jobs. He always made work fun, joking around and singing. We will miss you Mikey. Rest in peace in the arms of our heavenly father.

I remember the day Mikey was born and many little milestones in his first year.  His dad would always fill me in on the latest each day he delivered the mail.  Mikey was well loved.

we were at k.r.c together & even though we didn't always get along I saw right through you ...to the real genuine,vulnerable,scared,& hopeful person you were,just as I was. Your memory will give me strength. God Bless your family in this time for we all know,we aren't supposed to bury our children..

We knew Mike from his work and he was an AWESOME young man. Such a tragedy and though we dont know his family, we want you to know that our prayers go to you. We will miss you Mikey.....

It saddens me to write this, but I am thankful that the last time we met, We hugged & I kissed you oh the cheek. Your Love & Joy of Life will live on through those who knew you. I have yet to come to terms with the loss of such an amazing young man. I cannot describe the loss Michael and I feel here without you. You werent just our  employee, you were like one of our own children. You were always so helpful and ready to take on whatever task I told you was needed. And you were always smiling. Im happy to have had such a sweet soul in my life for such a short time. I wish you could just be late for work one more time. I wouldn't even be mad. I miss you mikey and I will always hold you dear to my heart. Im going to look for you everyday in every corner for as long as we own this place. You were here for over 2 years and you have touched everything so many times... but mostly you touched my heart.
