Alfred H. Roberts, 85, of Punta Gorda, FL died March 25, 2012. He was born May 24, 1926 in Holyoke, Mass and moved to this area in 1988 from Dearborn, MI. He served in the US Navy and worked as a Tool & Die Maker and Manufacturing Engineer before retiring in 1984. Locally, he was a member of the American Legion, the Punta Gorda Elks Lodge 2606 and the Punta Gorda Masonic Lodge. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church.
He is survived by his children, Rebecca (Terry) Davis of Bloomfield, NM; Timothy (Patti) Roberts of Goshen, IN and William Roberts of Dearborn Heights, MI; grandchildren, Kimberly, James (Ashley), Wesley (MI NA), Melissa, Carrie, Alison and Anna; great grandchildren, Eryn, Lacey, Joseph, Ashton and Braxton. He was predeceased by his wife Wilma Roberts.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday March 31, 2012 at the Faith Lutheran Church, 4005 Palm Drive, Punta Gorda, FL 33950 with the Rev Dana Narring officiating. Inurnment will be at Royal Palm Memorial Gardens in Punta Gorda. Donations are welcome to the Faith Lutheran Church in memory of Mr. Roberts.
