

Amelia M. Fleetwood, 98, of Port Charlotte, Florida went home to be with the Lord, June 3, 2016. Amelia, known as �"Millie†was born February 4, 1918 in Pigeon, Michigan. After retirement, Millie divided her time between Michigan and Florida where she liked being outdoors on the farm, and gardening. For several decades, Millie and her sister Martha (Howard) Haskins enjoyed having family, countless friends and guests into their homes. Millie gave tirelessly of herself preparing and serving meals, offering endless desserts and making everyone feel welcomed.
She will be lovingly remembered for her kind heart, warm smile, and generous nature. Above all, she was a faithful and dedicated servant to God, who she worshiped, honored, and loved. Millie was a blessing and beautiful person who will be profoundly missed by daughter, Dolores M. Helmink, son, Robert D. Fleetwood, grandchildren, Tracy L. Helmink, and David Fleetwood, and great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by grandson, Robert Todd Helmink.
A celebration of Amelia’s life will be held on Friday, June 10, 2016 at 12:00 noon at Calvary Assembly of God, 3279 Sherwood Rd., Port Charlotte, FL.
