She was born in Highland Park, Michigan on April 1, 1917.
She was a member of the Rotonda West Community Church.
She was predeceased by her husband, J. Merlin Tovey. she is survived by her son John M. Tovey, II of Brooklyn, Michigan; 4 grandsons and 4 great grandchildren.
Services and burial were private at Gulf Pines Memorial Park in Englewood, Florida.
