Anne E. Rodgers

Anne Elizabeth Rodgers, 89, formerly of Ledyard, CT and Port Charlotte, FL died Saturday, November 30, 2013 at MorningSide Residence Adult Family Home in Seattle, WA. Anne, the oldest of four children, was born in 1924 to Anne and Chris Kane of Patchogue, Long Island. She was involved in her church and devoted to her Catholic faith, supportive of the Edmundite Brothers, Boys Town and St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital. Anne loved living near the ocean, cooking for her family and friends, hosting parties and needlework.

She was married to the late Henry Rodgers for 59 ½ years, and is survived by her brother, Chris; four children, John, Daniel, Louise and Tina; five grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.

The Visitation will be held Monday, December 9, 2013 from 2:00 pm till 4:00 pm at Kays-Ponger & Uselton Funeral Home, 635 E. Marion Avenue, Punta Gorda, FL 33950. The Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 am at the St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 21505 Augusta Ave, Port Charlotte, FL 33952 followed by interment at Royal Palm Memorial Gardens.
