Archie Frank Lowe

He was born Aug. 17, 1948, in Punta Gorda, Fla., to Virgil and Louise (Driggers) Lowe.

Buddy was a lifelong resident of Charlotte County, Fla. He was an avid outdoorsman. Having never met a stranger, Buddy was a friend to all, yet his true happiness came from sharing his time and love with his family. He was a commercial fisherman and cattle rancher.

Buddy is survived by his Momma, Louise Lowe; daughter, Amy (Bill) Swenson; step-daughter, Carrie Sue Shelton; special granddaughters, Haley and Savannah Adkins; step-grandchildren, Sailor and Hunter Swenson; sisters, Verna (Gary) Smith, Debbie (Glenn) Lee and Velma Brown; and numerous special aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many lifelong friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Virgil Lowe; brother, Allen Lowe; sister, Emily Boatright; nephew, Jason Lee; and niece, Tiffany Herlovich.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 3, 2012, at Kays-Ponger & Uselton Funeral Home, 635 E. Marion Ave., Punta Gorda, FL 33950. Burial will follow at Indian Springs Cemetery. A visitation of family and friends will be held from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 2, 2012, at Kays-Ponger & Uselton Funeral Home in Punta Gorda.
