

Barry Paul Wieser Jr., known to family and friends as Paul, was born on September 18, 1983, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and passed away on September 4, 2026, in Port Charlotte, Florida.
Paul lived a life marked by kindness, faith, and devotion to the people he loved. He was a thoughtful and caring son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend who brought warmth and laughter wherever he went. Those who knew him will remember his gentle spirit, his generous heart, and the way he always made others feel welcome and valued. He was a man of strong faith who faced life with courage, grace, and a deep love for his family.
Paul obtained a media degree from Full Sail University, an achievement that reflected his determination and commitment to learning. He was also a self-taught balloon artist, using his creativity and imagination to bring joy to others. His talents and interests were as memorable as his personality, and he found happiness in the simple and meaningful things in life. He loved playing guitar, cooking for his family, and spending time swimming. Whether he was sharing a meal, making music, or enjoying time with loved ones, Paul had a way of making ordinary moments feel special.
Family was at the center of Paul’s life. He is survived by his mother, Debbie; his father, Barry Sr.; his brother, Jeff (Leanna); his nephew, Brodi; his aunts, Pam Klepp, Laurie Gordon, Kim, Spencer, and Carolyn Grey; and his cousins, Rifka, Ronnie, Megan, Connor, Sidney, Chad, Ryan, and Nate. He cherished these relationships deeply and was especially known for being family oriented. He was happiest when surrounded by the people he loved, and he gave his time, attention, and care freely to those closest to him.
Paul will also be remembered for his great sense of humor. He was funny in a way that could brighten a room and lift the spirits of those around him. His laughter was genuine, and his presence brought comfort and joy. Even during difficult times, he remained thoughtful and kind, always considering the needs of others. He battled cancer for four and a half years with strength and perseverance, meeting each challenge with remarkable faith and courage. Throughout his illness, he continued to show the same compassion and tenderness that defined his life.

He approached life with sincerity and love, and he left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him. Paul’s life was a blessing to many, and his memory will be treasured always. Though his time on earth was far too short, the love he gave and the joy he shared will continue to be felt by all who knew him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered with love, gratitude, and respect.
A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held at Kays-Ponger & Uselton Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 2405 Harbor Blvd, Port Charlotte, Florida 33952, on September 22, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm, followed by a Celebration of Life at the same location on September 22, 2026, beginning at 3:00 pm.
