BENJAMIN JOSEPH RILEY, 93 of Englewood, died December 10, 2010. He was born on March 22, 1917 in Providence, RI and came to this area in 1980 from Cranston, RI. He was retired from the New England Telephone Company. He was a Life time member of the Elks and the VFW. He was an avid Boston Red Sox Fan, member of the Brown University Alumni Association, was proud of his Irish Heritage and was a Charter member of St. Thomas Moore Catholic Church in Sarasota. He was a Veteran of WWII, serving in the U.S. Army as a Captain.
He is survived by his wife, Audrey; three sons, Dwight of New York, NY, James of Sarasota and Benjamin of Venice, FL; four daughters, Sharon Kent of Placida, Fl, Stephanie York of Scarborough, ME, Robin Riley of Falmouth, MA, and Patricia Woods of Sarasota, FL; ten grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
