
Bernard was born 4/6/38 in Middletown, CT to Edward and Anna (Radziwon) Zaklukiewicz. He graduated from Woodrow Wilson in 1955. Bernard was an Army Veteran, retired with a Medical discharge. On May 14, 1960, he married the love of his life of 57 years, Joanne (Salafia) Zaklukiewicz. Bernard was the Executive Director for Associated Builders and Contractors for many years. Bernard retired and they moved to Spring Hill, FL and then Englewood, FL years later.
Bernie enjoyed many activities including boating, golfing, bowling, skiing, snowmobiling, gardening and spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren.
Bernard is survived by his wife and two sons, David & his wife, Renee; Robert and his wife, Diane; His grandchildren Greg and his wife, Jacqueline; Brian & Emily; Morgan & Justin, and Dillon and four great-grandchildren, Bryce, Meila, Haiden, Bella, Joanne's family and many nieces and nephews who he loved very much. He was predeceased by his brothers, Edward and Leonard and sister, Carol Ruffino.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, February 24, 2018 at 10 am at West Coast Church , 240 Pine Street, Englewood, FL with a reception of Celebration of Life at Pine Park in Alameda Isles. A Celebration of Life will also be held in mid April in Middletown, CT.
