Bernice W. Walker, 76, died in Port Charlotte, FL on January 27, 2009. She was born in Rumford, Maine and lived in Miami, FL for 61 years. Bernice was an honor graduate from the University of Miami. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Punta Gorda, FL, the ASWA, AAUW and a member of PEO.
Bernice leaves sisters, Marian Bandler of Lake Suzy, FL; Janet Larry Long of Chattanooga, TN and Katherine Coker of Snellville, GA; 7 nieces and nephews and 13 great nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service was held on January 30, 2009. Donations in memory of Bernice may be made to her church, First United Methodist Church, 507 W Marion Ave, Punta Gorda, FL 33950 or to the Annual Fund, University of Miami, PO Box 025388, Miami, FL 33102-9811.
