Betty McDonald

Betty A. McDonald, 82 of Burnt store Isles, Punta Gorda, FL., formerly of Laurel MD. Died Thursday, January 26, 2017. She grew up in a small mining town in Fonde, KY and graduated from Middleboro High school. She was also a graduate of the University of Kentucky. She went on to work for the Department of the Interior and the USDA for many years. She retired in 1994 and moved to Punta Gorda, FL, and later became a member of the Episcopal church of the Good Shepard in Punta Gorda. She is survived by her two sons, Mark of Laurel MD., and Eric of Punta Gorda. She also has two sisters June and Jean of Independence MO. She was preceded in death by her husband William McDonald and her son John. She also had two brothers and seven sisters and her parents Julius and Sally that preceded her. A Memorial service will be Thursday February 2nd at 10:00am at the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepard, 401 W. Henry St. of Punta Gorda; Fl. Burial will follow the Memorial service at Royal Palm Cemetery, 27200 Jones Loop Rd. Punta Gorda, Fl. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted by Kays- Ponger & Uselton Funeral Home, 635 E.
