She was born on June 8, 1927 in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania to Edward C. Kunkel and Anna Tolbert Kunkle. Betty came to Port Charlotte, Florida from Lawton, Oklahoma in 1962.She was employed by Yoder Brothers Inc., of Fort Myers, Florida retiring after more than 30 years of service.
Survivors include her 2 daughters, Virginia Jacobs of Arcadia, Florida and Nancy Whidden of Sebring, Florida; her 6 grandchildren, Angela Cooper, Sheila Jacobs, Laura Ann Jacobs, Tiffani Allen, Krista Boone and Erika Boone, and 8 great great grandchildren.
Visitation Thursday September 24, 2009 from 10:00 a.m. until service time at 11:00 a.m. at Kays-Ponger & Uselton Funeral Home, 2405 Harbor Blvd. Port Charlotte, Florida. Burial will follow at Rest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
