Burton D. Roe, a resident of Charlotte County since 1970. Burton was a craftsman. He crafted doll cradles, mirrors, Christmas ornaments, handmade leather goods and sold them at various flea markets and craft shows. He loved to go fishing, enjoyed riding his motorcycle, camping and going to model railroad train shows. He worked for General Development as a truck Driver up till the early 80’s and had served in the US Coast Guard.
A loving Father, aka Gramps, who will be dearly missed, he had 5 children, 13 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren. He was married to Elmira E. Roe who pre-deceased him in 1990.
A Graveside Service with military honors will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, March 12, 2016 at Gulf Pines Memorial Park in Englewood.
