Carol Ann Messina

Carol Ann Messina 66, passed away Tuesday September 11, 2012 at Peace River Hospital in Port Charlotte Fl. She surrendered after a brave battle with cancer surrounded by her family. Carol began her life in Jamaica Queens, New York, but for many years Port Charlotte has been her home where she raised two sons whom she adored with her husband Frank. She was a devoted spouse, mother, grandmother, daughter and friend. She was a blessing and inspiration to all who knew her. A blessing because her loyalty was fierce and knew no bounds and an inspiration to all privileged enough to witness her move through life. Carol is survived by her mother Connie Lanzola, 2 sons and their spouses, Louis and Ragan Mautone and four grandchildren. She also leaves her darling husband of 32 years Frank Messina with whom she shared this life and waits for him in the next. A Chapel service will be held on Friday September 14, 2012 at 6:00PM from the Kays-Ponger and Uselton Funeral Home 2405 Harbor Boulevard Port Charlotte Private Cremation will follow. A visitation of family and friends will be on Thursday September 13, 2012 from 4:00PM -7:00PM and Friday September 14, 2012 from 4:00PM -6:00PM.
