Catherine Klein Ryan, was born in Mt Carmel, Pennsylvania and later moved to Philadelphia when she was 12. She attended Roxborough High School and studied Radiologic Technology at Philadelphia General Hospital.
She was married to Joseph Ryan, Sr and is survived by two of her three sons, Joseph, Jr and Paul. Her son, Craig, died in 2008. There are six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Catherine worked and taught at Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia. She left her career to raise her family and work with Dr. Horst Bunese in a private practice.
Later, she went into business with her husband and owned Marble Hall, a swimming and tennis club. Catherine also became the first female President of The National Swim & Recreation Association. She retired to Venice, Florida where she enjoyed life with her dear friends at Villa San Marco and acted as President of the Residents’ Association.
Catherine peacefully went home to her heavenly Father and to be reunited with the love of her life, Joe, on February 23, 2016. Her son Paul was at her side.
