
at Harbor Health Center. Born in Akron, Ohio, he came to this area in 1981 from Wilmington, Delaware, when he retired as Design Manager in the Engineering Department of DuPont Co., by whom he was employed for 33 years.
He served in the 9th Armored Division for 3 1/2 years during WWII, and was discharged, a Captain, Cavalry. He attended Akron University and the Ohio State University, Where he received a Masters degree in Chemical Engineering.
He was a member of the Isles Yacht Club, the Kingsway Country Club, where he served as president of the Board of Directors in 1986, and American Legion Post # 110. He was a volunteer counselor on the AARP Tax Counseling service for the Elderly program starting in 1987.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara, sons, Paul of Bridgewater, Mass., Jeffrey of Bonita Springs, Florida, James of Charlotte, N.C., a sister, Ruth Schieb of Chelsea, Michigan and 6 grandchildren.
The Cremains will reside in Arlington National Cemetery Columbarium.
