It is with deepest sorrow that the family of Charles (Chuck) Foos announce his passing on July 27, 2023 while on vacation in his home town of Rochester NY. A Rochester native graduating from Aquinas Boys School, Chuck served in the US Airforce and enjoyed a lengthy career at Eastman Kodak.
Charles is survived by his wife Diane; children John (Sherrie), Shari, and Tom (Jay); grandkids Ian (Kate), Elliott, Aleah and Owen; great granddaughter Charlotte Jayne; his siblings, Barbara Gallagher (Jim), Bernice O’Sullivan (Bernie), and Mary Elizabeth aka Johni English (Terry).
There were always boats in his life, and Chuck’s love of the water led him to become a longtime member of the Brockport Yacht Club or BYC.
Once retired, Chuck and Diane agreed upon another adventure and bought a motor home where they traveled all over the states, eventually settling on Maple Leaf Village, a gated community in Port Charlotte, FL. To many, Chuck is known as a devoted and loving husband and father. A kind and supportive, dependable friend. One who is always there and always willing to lend a hand and help out, no matter the situation. To his family, he is the rock, the stable foundation. Charles (Chuck, Dad) Foos may have left this Earth, but he is watching over us as an ever present angel, lighthouse, continually guiding us to Home.
The family is advising there will be no funeral service, but will have a celebration of life at both locations in the near future to celebrate and honor his life. Donations can be made in Chuck's honor to the American Cancer Society.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.kayspongerpc.com for the Foos family.
