Charles E. James, age 72, died January 27, 2009, at Charlotte Regional, Punta Gorda, FL. He was born July 3, 1936 the son of Elba Forrester. On June 30, 1983 he married Annie M. James. Charles retired from the insurance sales business and was a member of the First Baptist Church, Punta Gorda.
Survivors inclued wife, Annie James; children, Kay Kauffman of Vero Beach, FL, Theresa Reynolds of Melbourne, FL, Denise Lauden of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Steve James of Orlando, FL, Dale James of Melburne, FL; Stepchildren Tina, Terry and Jerri and grandchildren.
Services will be held at the Kays-Ponger & Uselton Funeral Home, 2405 Harbor Blvd. Port Charlotte, on January 31, 2009. Visitaion from 9 am-10am. Funeral service at 10 am. Reverend Paul Russell will be officiating. Internment will follow at the Restlawn Memorial Gardens, 1380 Forrest Nelson Blvd, Port Charlotte.
